The L1 Analyst is part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) team and works closely with other members of the IPRM program to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to the management of security risks. This role is responsible for working with other SOC team members in responding to security events according to established policies and best practices. The Work Itself First level response for real time security alerts and events Determine level of event urgency and escalate as necessary Perform phishing investigations and response Data mining through use of SIEM or other data analytics solutions Report generation around security events and metrics Ensure that all security events are properly documented/tracked to meet audit and legal requirements Develop documentation in support of response processes and/or procedures The Skills You Bring Required: 1-2+ years of Security Operations Center related experience Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience Practical understanding of network protocols and operating systems Broad understanding of security mitigation solutions at all layers and awareness of the current threat landscape Ability to analyze large data sets to identify anomalies indicative of malicious activity; excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and capable of working under pressure; self-driven and motivated with a strong passion for cybersecurity Preferred: Security+ or CYSA+ certification Good understanding of concepts around Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework, preferred Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure), with basic knowledge of cloud security concepts, monitoring, and basic incident response within cloud environments, preferred Previous background in code development #LI-hybrid How We'll Have Your Back * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
