Job Title: Document Imaging Chart Recovery Specialist Location: Daytona Beach, FL 32117 Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $17-20/hr Potential for Temp to Perm
Responsible for the collection of discharged medical records from all locations at each facility. Responsible for the collection and processing of the patient paper medical record concurrently and converting it into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner for the viewing of physicians, clinicians and other designated health care employees for the treatment and care of the patient.
salary: $17 - $20 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
-
Collects the discharged medical records for all nursing units and outpatient or ancillary areas on site at each facility.
-
Logs received records on appropriate discharge logs and prepares for transport to Centralized Document Imaging office if needed according to facility protocol.

Processes and routes loose reports or transferred charts in a timely manner.
-
Performs concurrent scanning on nursing units and discharges according to facility protocol.
-
Ensures that all supplies are ordered and on hand to perform scanning and validation functions.
-
Ensures loose report batches are processed in a timely manner.
-
Responsible for DI equipment maintenance and supplies, notifying appropriate leadership team members when supplies are low and need to be reordered.

Completes all required documentation on batch cover sheets are completed for chart tracking.
-
Ensures all pages have the appropriate patient identification and forms barcodes or identification.
-
Reviews the paper record against the electronic documents to verify image quality and missing documents.
-
Verifies and validates image/document errors and makes necessary changes as needed.
-
Accurately identifies destination of paper documents for scanning into correct location of medical records.
-
Monitors Cer-Batch Index application to ensure charts that have gone through prepping, scanning, QC and validation have posted to PowerChart for access by end-users.
