Essential Job Functions:

The Dispatcher Associate will be assigned duties, based on organizational needs and priorities.

• Communicate, throughout the day, with drivers on the progression of route and communicate that information with sales. (Etas, breakdowns, any changes to the routes as the day goes by)
• Transmit messages and ensure accurate receipt and understanding. (Supporting drivers with info as needed)
• Receive calls from drivers, transmit messages, and make inquiries to obtain requested information or services.
• Relating of Schedules to Drivers. Calling driver(s) if they have not arrived on time for their schedule shifts.
• File data and perform other routine clerical tasks required by regulations. (Filling out all reports you are responsible for correctly)
• Manage computer dispatch systems and maintain customer relationships in the dispatch and supervision of drivers on loads.
• Complete daily reporting of dispatch activity.
• Facilitate all over the road breakdowns, accidents, weather delays and any route exceptions. This includes letting/emailing Upper Management and sales know what is going on with daily routes.
• Communicate throughout the day with drivers on the progression of route and communicate that information with sales.
• Receive calls from drivers, transmit messages, and make inquiries to obtain requested information or services.
• Manage computer dispatch systems and maintain customer relationships in the dispatch and supervision of drivers on loads.
• Complete daily reporting of dispatch activity.
• Schedule is Sunday thru Saturday. We work 24/7 365. Will work most holidays.
• Have a valid Class C driver license.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
• Availability in work schedule of Sunday - Saturday
• Have a valid Class C driver license.
• Ability to understand and follow moderately complex oral instructions in the English language.
• Remain calm and effective under heavy workload and emergency situations.
• Speak with a clear, well-modulated voice.
• Ability to write legibly and demonstrate knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
