Emergency/Overnight Veterinary Technician

Essential Functions:

  • Venipuncture

  • Catheter placement

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Physical examinations and patient assessment

  • Surgical preparation and assisting

  • Laboratory Work

  • Pharmacy

  • Patient Recovery

  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

Qualifications:

  • Must have documented previous experience

  • Must have surgery experience

  • Flexibility in hours including to but not limited to weekends and holidays

  • Overnight shift experience preferred

  • Customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of computers

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

  • This is an overnight Emergency shift
