Lead Desktop Support Technician

Description: Our client is looking for 1 lead desktop technician on their South Nassau hardware/software inventory project for 5 weeks (Aug 26th-Sept 27th). Our client is currently in the process of preparing for a hardware/Windows 11 refresh of their South Nassau users as they integrate them into the Active Directory domain and they need help in first collecting the hardware and software inventory of the current environment. This phase is to survey the locations to document and inventory existing equipment (PCs, laptops, printers and other peripheral devices), software inventory of what the users are currently using and need access to when migrated, and data around users being mapped to the network and mapped to the printers. They may also need to mark up floor plans of where equipment is located, IP addresses, etc. They'll be responsible for following instructions around what information is collected and documenting on spreadsheets. The lead will help coordinate the activities of the field technicians in addition to the technical data collection. They may assist the hospital manager in communicating with remote site contacts to coordinate site visits of the technicians, track progress of the technicians efforts, mitigate issues, be an escalation point for any issues techs may be having in the field, help compile the data for customer, etc. Most of the work will be done during a standard work shift (Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm) BUT there could be work scheduled outside of the normal hours throughout multiple locations depending on the availability of the physician practices for the data collection. The work will primarily be completed at the hospital in Oceanside, but there are 28-30 remote sites in and around the area that include Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Oceanside, Bellmore, Levittown, Huntington Station, Hewlett, Long Beach, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, and Hempstead. Tehnicians need to be reliable, presentable, have a good work ethic, follow instructions and good attention to detail/thorough in their documentation.
