If so, we want you to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. Staffmark has partnered with a food processing company in Guthrie, OK, in need of an experienced candidate to temporarily manage the administrative and transactional functions of the indirect purchasing team.

Pay: $18

1st Shift Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday

Temporary Position: Projected to last three months but may be extended based on performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Purchase order creation and managing inquiries through the Procurement Ops shared folder.
  • Influencing Purchase to pay best practices, Tyson policy adherence, and Program Compliance.
  • Generating report data for monitoring KPIs.
  • Communicate with plants regarding issue resolution and process best practices and suppliers regarding resolving errors related to pricing, invoicing, and ordering.
  • Answer phones and respond to emails within 24 hours.

Requirements:
  • Education beyond high school, including less than two years of special training, vocational school and/or college courses, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years' experience; related to purchasing, accounts payable, supplier management, or operations.
  • Proficient computer skills; SAP experience preferred; Microsoft Office applications proficiency required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, judgment, and time management skills.
