The Pharmacy Manager-Retail is responsible for effective administration and management of the retail pharmacy. 1) assimilation and provision of comprehensive information on drugs and their actions; 2) development and conduct of a product formulation and packaging program; 3) development and conduct of patient-oriented services; 4) conduct and participation in department activities of pharmacy personnel.

Important Tasks:

  • Ensures the development and conduct of patient-oriented clinical pharmacy services including: a) drug information; b) collection of the pharmacy patient data base; c) patient education; d) monitoring and auditing of therapeutic drug regimes; e) drug use review; f) monitoring of specific adverse drug reactions; and g) other services, as required, to optimize drug use in patient care.
  • Prioritizes and delegates job tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Reviews all retail medication orders for appropriate and rational therapy, checking for proper dosages, potential drug interactions, and adverse reactions.
  • Assumes responsibility for running weekly and monthly reports.
  • Enforces and educates pharmacy personnel and other related health practitioners on the laws, codes, and regulations that pertain to the services and equipment provided by the company.
Hours: 4 weekdays alternating with 3 weekdays and aSaturday (closed on Sunday)
