Job Overview

We currently have an opening for a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our Salt Lake City, UT team. The Occupational Staff Therapist Position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.

Schedule: Full-time M-F (in-person)

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: Pay range for this position is $37.96/hr - $56.93/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • EXAMINATION/ASSESSMENT
    Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing a comprehensive, patient and family-centered approach to decision making incorporating the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model and the AMA CPT Codes.
  • INTERVENTION
    Demonstrates the knowledge and advanced skills to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing evidence base practice, for patients of diverse ages and diagnoses based on their assessment.
  • DISCHARGE PLANNING AND COORDINATION
    Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, their families, care management and community resources such as schools/outside therapy clinics, and actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • DOCUMENTATION OF CARE AND CODING
    Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation, which follows the state requirements, payer specific requirements, regulatory and professional standards to include correct use of AMA CPT Codes and/or HCPCS codes when applicable.
  • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITY
    Demonstrates emerging professional leadership behaviors in practice settings, in the community and within the profession.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor degree
  • Licensed in UT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination
Preferred
  • 1 year experience as Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in pediatrics
  • PCS, OCS, NCS and CHT
