Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional image and deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, following our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  • Oversee server administration, including planning for user base growth and hardware needs. Monitor server performance and utilization, and provide support for server-based technologies like Windows, VMWare, Unix/Linux, and Citrix.
  • Manage application administration using tools such as Configuration Manager and Endpoint Manager for deploying applications and updates. Support and enhance application virtualization technologies, including Citrix, VMWare VApps, and MSIX.
  • Administer and support databases by monitoring growth and performance, resolving integrity issues, and tracking DB server performance. Ensure Point-In-Time recoverability and proficiency with SQL utilities like Profiler and Trace.
  • Develop, maintain, and support cloud-based server and application solutions.
  • Ensure that all technology security measures are consistently maintained and updated.
  • Create and document backup and recovery procedures, and design and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Serve as an IT liaison between departments, addressing end-user goals for new or existing solutions. Recommend improvements to enhance user availability and performance.
  • Ensure that all changes comply with McLeod's change control, security, and risk assessment policies.
  • Participate in a 3rd level call rotation and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Training:
  • At least five years of experience in a complex virtual server environment managing over 500 servers, including Windows, Linux, SQL, Citrix, and Web Servers.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in modern backup and recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft patching processes and security enhancements for servers and applications.
  • Experience with Linux and container-based applications.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
