Raw Material Utility

Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Raw Material Utility to work for our manufacturing facility in Algona, WA. The Production Receiving associate is responsible to receive and store materials in a safe and efficient manner following all established operating procedures. This position provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers to join our team. Will be working Monday-Friday 06:00am-02:30pm. Saturday and overtime is required based on business needs. Schedule subject to change based on start-up. Key Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned. Operates equipment (pallet jack and forklift) to safely load / unload materials, moving materials to proper location, using FIFO method of storing dated materials. Inspects materials upon arrival, documenting any signs of damage and completing appropriate paperwork. Processes paperwork required for receiving goods, verifying counts and quality according to established procedures. Monitors inventory of materials daily and communicates low levels to production scheduler / purchasing. Ensures all materials and production receiving area is organized. Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts according to established schedule and guidelines. Provides exceptional service to all internal and external customers (vendors). Works with Supervisor and team members to identify areas of continuous improvement. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping work area orderly, complying with all procedures, rules and regulations. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Two years' experience in material handling. Forklift certification. Excellent communication, written and verbal, and math skills. Ability to be an independent thinker, make good decisions and resolve problems. Good organizational, time management and attention to detail skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to lift 25-pound boxes and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
