About the Role

BetMGM is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive information security strategies to help continually advance our cybersecurity posture and protect against evolving threats and vulnerabilities. The Cybersecurity Manager will lead initiatives to enhance the BetMGM InfoSec team's capabilities while also overseeing ongoing monitoring and incident response procedures to ensure required procedures and practices are continually followed. This position is under the supervision of the Sr Director, Cyber & IT Risk.

The Cybersecurity Manager will exhibit strong analytical skills, a detailed oriented mindset, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate communication within the team and to internal stakeholders. Responsibilities will also include developing security policies, conducting risk assessments, staying abreast of relevant regulations and standards, align cybersecurity support and initiatives to individual department or overall business objectives, and continual learning to be at the leading edge of emerging threats and technology. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure the security and integrity of our Snowflake data environment, manage user access controls, and support the effort to lead a comprehensive set of access controls to maintain compliance and safeguard sensitive information. The Cybersecurity Manager will be expected to leverage your expert knowledge of today's ever-changing cybersecurity, technical state regulations and risk landscape to increase BetMGM's security posture, mitigate risk and ensure resilience and integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and enforcement of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of security architecture and controls including onboarding new applications in furtherance of these objectives.
  • Day to day involvement in the adherence to and enforcement of information security policies, procedures and practices.
  • Monitor and analyze for emerging threats or vulnerabilities. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to enhance BetMGM's preparedness and overall security posture.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the cybersecurity training and awareness program for all employees to create a culture of security and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor Snowflake environment for security incidents, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and maintain security configurations within Snowflake to protect data and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies in general as well as specifically related to Snowflake and user access management.
  • Support the vendor assessment process for the onboarding of third-party vendors and services providers to ensure they meet or exceed our risk tolerance thresholds.
  • Be knowledgeable of and work to implement strategies to ensure BetMGM adheres to industry best practices for information security, is in compliance with relevant cyber and data privacy laws and regulations, and is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for information security and data privacy.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and be able to provide presentations summarizing cybersecurity initiatives, ongoing performance and overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to Kanban boards to monitor, adapt and improve.
  • Stay on top of the latest emerging technology trends and proactively update processes where needed.
  • Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Information Security experience as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst or equivalent or above.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CISA) are a plus.
  • Previous experience with cloud data environments and/or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies and concepts, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with security tools and platforms including but not limited to SIEM, IAM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and DLP.
  • Experience developing and rolling our security awareness and training programs.
  • Experience with managing and responding to cybersecurity incidents implementing best practices for containment and remediation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in common technology controls for industry best practices (e.g., from NIST, ISO, ISACA, GLI etc.) frameworks.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding high ethical standards in the conduct of all duties.
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout BetMGM to accomplish common goals.


The annual salary range for this position is $110,800 to $145,425. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
