An entry-mid level Clinical Engineering Technician position. Operates specialized test equipment, reads schematics, and technical manuals. Will assemble and disassemble moderately complex electronic and Electro-mechanical devices. Performs troubleshooting to board level or component level depending on the circumstance. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety testing of medical equipment. Receives general instruction and is able to perform tasks in designated assigned area of service. Documents all work in accordance with departmental policies. Will be working in a variety of clinical environments often with frequent interruptions.

Performs highly skilled work of considerable difficulty involving various medical equipment and systems. Considered to be an expert in the operation of specialized test equipment, schematic reading, and technical manuals. Will assemble and disassemble moderately complex electronic and Electro-mechanical devices. Has the ability to choose the most cost and time effective equipment repair method, either component or circuit board level repair. With specific training specializes on certain types of equipment. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety testing of medical equipment. Works independently and requires very little direct supervision. Documents all work in accordance with departmental policies. Will be working in a variety of clinical environments often with frequent interruptions. Acts as a technical consultant on equipment installation and planning projects.

Associate Biomedical Technician , Salary Range:

Min: $29.04, Max: $45.30

Biomedical Technician

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Electronic Technology

  • Military training may be considered as an alternative.

  • Must have completed several specialized training courses on servicing certain medical devices or systems.

  • Upon hire: AAMI/BMET certification

  • 2 years Experience repairing and servicing a variety of medical electronic devices.

Biomedical Technician , Salary Range:

Min: $34.38, Max: $54.42

Senior Biomedical Technician

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Electronic Technology from an accredited program.

  • Military training may be considered as an alternative.

  • Must have completed several specialized training courses on servicing certain medical devices or systems.

  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role and caregivers will be expected to comply with all state laws. You may be asked to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance. See policy for additional information

  • 10 or more years Experience repairing, servicing and fabricating variety of medical electronic devices. A fabrication includes the ability to plan, design and implement medical electronic devices as well as enhancements or modifications to existing medical equipment.

  • Experience working from construction blueprints and shop drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Biomedical Technician certification

Senior Biomedical Technician , Salary Range:

Min: $38.67, Max: $61.22
