Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with an independent investment management and strategic advisory firm to find a Tax Preparer. As a Tax Preparer within a small team, you will be responsible for preparing state and federal tax returns for both individuals and companies. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing tax returns for individuals with Schedule C's, Schedule E's as well as corporate and entity returns and will be customer service oriented. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file complex tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis.
  • Manage and develop tax teams while overseeing client projects.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Experience preparing tax returns for individuals with Schedule C's, Schedule E's, etc.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and filing taxes is a must.
  • Experience with corporate and entity returns; 1120, 1120-s, 1041, and 990s is a plus.
  • CPA or EA designation is a plus
