This Provider Economics and Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for supporting our Provider Economics team in competitive intelligence projects, provider network design, system maintenance, network dashboards, and other projects as necessary.

The Elevance Health Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with real-life, challenging project work, improve business acumen, provide exposure to senior and executive leadership, and the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry Interns will participate in career and professional development activities and networking events with other interns and associates.

How you will make an impact:

  • Assist the Provider Economics team in collecting and refining healthcare data

  • Assist in analyzing and validating statistical models and data

  • Analyze data for accuracy and reasonableness

  • Conduct internet research for competitive analysis

  • Prepare documents for analysis as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an applicable program of study at an accredited college/university. Preferred majors include, but are not limited to; Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, and Human Resources Management

  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is preferred

  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible based on the needs of the business is preferred

  • Passion for the field and a dedication towards excellence and personal career development is greatly preferred

  • Technical skills:

    • SQL experience required
