SUMMARY:

The Imaging Workflow Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all patient images and orders associated with each patient are in a complete and finalized status. This position will have the training and access to the appropriate IS systems to correct issues that could prevent studies from being dictated and billed. The Imaging Workflow Specialist will also be responsible for resolving Information Technology tickets that are assigned to them. This position assists in communicating with the Radiologist and Imaging Services & IT staff and Radiology Manager of System & Support to ensure the necessary data is available for exam finalization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years workflow experience in radiology department or related healthcare experience.
  • Familiarity with specific radiology information applications such as PACS, Powerscribe and Radiology information Systems. Some basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of radiology department workflow and various imaging modalities.
