JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Lead Sales will have oversight with New and Used Vehicle Sales on all processes for the company's products and services within their AOR. The position will ensure consistent, profitable growth in revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short-term and long-term sales and profitability. This person will also work directly with the bus manufacturer for pricing and production schedule. Collaboration with the General Manager in establishing budgets and recommending the most realistic goals. This person will also collaborate with other General Managers and Lead Sales at Midwest Bus Sales to maximize efficiencies and meet corporate objectives. This person establishes and manages effective programs including Thomas Built Bus Platinum Support to compensate, coach, appraise and train all personnel.
Essential Functions
- Performs sales activities on top accounts, negotiating sales price and discounts in consultation with General Manager
- Manages personnel and develops employee growth.
- Directs team to meet Thomas Built Bus platinum support and overseeing Continuous Improvements.
- Assist GM to accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams and market trends.
- Uses company's CRM to ensure data integrity and proper entries are being made for the sales pipeline.
- Assist GM to develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products.
- Provides monthly results assessments of productivity.
- Directly responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly updates to specific pieces in the TBB Dealer Strategic Plan.
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable results.
- Assists in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers within the customer base included but not limited to the top 10 and upgradable accounts.
- Collaborates with General Manager to develop sales strategies to improve market share for all product lines and service offerings.
- Collaborates with General Manager on leasing strategies and extensive involvement in the leasing procedures and directly working with service manager on lease returns process specifically lease repair charges.
- Uses the company's inventory software application to track and run reports.
- Review RFP's and Quotes to develop strategy for pricing and winning business opportunities.
- Educates by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, absorption ration, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on monthly P&L reports.
- Collaborates with General Manager to establish and manage budgets and forecast.
- Reviews expenses and recommends economies.
- Proficient communication skills (Written and Verbal).
- Valid driver's license, clean driver record and criminal background.
- Stress tolerance/flexibility.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related type software is required.
- Understanding multigenerational workforce trends.
- Provide high-impact performance feedback.
- Focus on rewarding and motivating employees.
The Lead Sales directly supervises the sales team.
