THE POSITION

As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will provide leadership, supervision and direction for Montgomery CAO's clerical unit, as well as provide training and orientation to clerical persons as needed. You will evaluate, monitor, and instruct subordinates to ensure accurate and efficient support to IMCW staff, process assistance benefits through the use of a PC, and assign work to subordinates in an equitable manner. Responsibilities include identifying personnel problems and recommending the appropriate action. You will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to the Executive Director. You should have a working knowledge of office equipment and make service calls when needed. You will plan and approve leave for subordinates maintaining adequate area coverage to ensure efficient workflow.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Montgomery County. If no eligible candidates who live within Montgomery County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
