The Creative team creates content and collateral in line with Luxor's customer-centric brand to increase sales volume and customer satisfaction with our products. The role of the Graphic Designer is to perform daily activities to support the Creative team in executing product launches, updating creative for product listings, and producing collateral for various marketing and company needs.
The Graphic Designer's primary responsibilities are to maintain brand standards while creating visually compelling designs for digital ads, brochures, sell sheets, trade show booths, emails, listing images, and more. This position requires speed and expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, creativity, attention to detail, a positive attitude, excellent time management, and strong communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Take full ownership of assigned projects to ensure they are consistent with brand standards and meet business goals and objectives.
* Demonstrate an understanding of goals and objectives of assigned projects by providing creative input during project kickoffs.
* Present and explain your work throughout the creative process and design reviews.
* Partner with Art Director and Sr. Graphic Designer to champion cohesive design throughout the company by following our brand guide and maintaining corporate graphic standards across all projects.
* Research the competitive landscape to keep our listings and images modern and well positioned for customer clarity and conversion.
* Keep multiple projects on schedule and stakeholders informed of status/issues. Be flexible enough to change priorities when critical business shifts occur.
* Seek opportunities to enhance or develop new processes and to find efficiencies that allow us to be more productive. Be mindful of previous work and suggest improvements.
* Stay connected to new technology and trends in design and share with Creative team.
* Maintain an organized file/folder structure to avoid workflow disruptions.
* Quickly and effectively photoshop product images for product listings, ads, and other marketing materials. Editing work includes background removals, retouching, color correction, and compositing.
* Performs additional related tasks and assists other Designers as needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Proficient knowledge of Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Figma and responsive design
* Comfortable with working in and following Brand Guidelines.
* Desire to learn new techniques and technologies to elevate your work, knowledge, and skillset.
* Must be deadline driven, detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently with some oversight and collaborate with designers and writers.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Solid portfolio with experience in B2B and B2C marketing.
* Experience with animation/motion graphics, CMS, product rendering, video editing, and assisting with both studio and off-site video and photography productions is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Graphic Design or Visual Communications
* 3-5 years of experience in print and digital design including brochures, flyers, email, onsite, digital banner ads, and social media.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND LEVEL OF SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
