Job Description:

Acclaim is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to joinour outpatient Cardiology team. The Department of Internal Medicine providesspecialty services across the continuum of care at JPS. We currently have over100 providers who work in a variety of different locations including the MainHospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and our Community Medicine Clinics.
The Department of Internal Medicine utilizes a robust APPonboarding program, inclusive of a 6-8 week training phase in which APPsare able to safely learn and drill the fundamentals of patient care, beforetheir official patient templates open. Furthermore, this onboarding is followedby a thoughtful and well-calibrated template ramp up, such that APPs are giventhe time to learn and grow appropriately in their new role.

Position Description

  • Full Time Outpatient Cardiology position (40 hours per week)
  • Weekdays M-F, hours 8AM-4PM. No weekends or call
  • Work with outpatient cardiology team to help care for cardiology patients including both new and follow up patients. Inclusive of general cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and aspects of heart failure
  • Large growing practice of physicians and APPs with APP leadership structure
  • Robust and comprehensive APP onboarding (6-8 week phase)
  • EPIC EMR
  • Mmodal dictation with possible AI enabled scribe in near future
  • Inpatient weekend rounding is optional for additional earning opportunity, although is not required

Qualifications:

RequiredEducation and Experience
Degree in PA studies from an approved physician assistant program
Licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times
Master's degree Physician Assistant preferred
1 Year experience preferred
