JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Specialist will ensure seamless end-to-end support for the company's dynamic procurement team. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, they'll thrive in a challenging environment, navigating ambiguity with ease.

Their responsibilities will go beyond the routine - they'll be instrumental in structuring and prioritizing tasks, ensuring efficiency in an ever-changing landscape. Their strategic mindset will be the key to implement initiatives that align with the company's organizational goals and transformation.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Task Management:

  • Demonstrate the ability to structure, prioritize tasks, and focus efforts effectively within an ever-changing and ambiguous work environment.

KPI Ownership and Reporting:

  • Take ownership of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, including but not limited to PPV, cost savings, value creation, and departmental metrics.

Strategic Planning Capability:

  • Demonstrate a proven ability to implement both short- and long-term strategies, aligning them with organizational goals and facilitating operational transformation.

Supplier Relationship Support:

  • Collaborate with Category Managers as needed, providing essential support in supplier relationships and communication.
  • Evaluate and measure supplier performance to ensure alignment with performance expectations through score-carding.

Strategic Sourcing Event Support:

  • Provide crucial support to Category Managers in executing strategic sourcing events. This includes the development of sourcing profiles, strategic execution, and the effective management of supplier contracts and pricing agreements.

Hands-On Procurement Operations:

  • Execute procurement of materials as assigned by leadership, ensuring seamless continuity in the procurement process.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATIORS (KPIs)

  • Specifically measures and tracks performance of the category specialist to assist with the category specialist's daily duties.
  • Measures the total cost of purchased goods against the forecast monthly and delivers to the team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, or in process of achieving, in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate two (2) of experience in procurement functions is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, with an intermediate to advanced level in Excel, and familiarity with Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a preference for previous negotiation experience.
  • Organizational Acumen: Possess excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in all aspects of the role.
  • Interpersonal Proficiency: Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, fostering positive relationships both internally and with suppliers.
  • Analytical Prowess: Possess keen analytical skills, allowing for insightful and data-driven decision-making.
  • Positive Collaborator: Maintain a positive attitude and thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively within multiple internal and supplier teams.
