Data Governance Analyst | Warren, MI

Contract: 12 months with possible extension/direct hire

Schedule: Hybrid | M-F (1st Shift)

Compensation: $55-62/hour with paid time off & optional benefits

Onboarding Requirements: Background Check, Drug Screen, & Employment Verification

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review Requests: Evaluate new requests for dealer data, ensuring requestors complete the Dealer Data Authorization (DDA) form.
  • Governance Process: Guide business teams to understand and adhere to the Dealer Data Governance Process, including:
  • Privacy Impact Assessment
  • External Data Transfer Policy
  • Application Registration (ASMS), if needed
  • Request Documentation: Ensure submitted DDA forms are complete, documenting the purpose, source of dealer data, specific data elements requested, data flows, usage, and involved third parties.
  • Annual Audits: Conduct audits on the anniversary of active Dealer Data Authorization forms.
  • Data Lineage Reports: Develop reports capturing dealer data flow from source to consumption, highlighting changes and transformation.
  • Business Requirements: Document requirements for acquiring additional dealer data from third-party service providers with dealer consent.
  • Data Dictionary: Support the creation and maintenance of a dealer data dictionary to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Data Quality: Document and implement data quality policies, standards, and procedures for dealer data systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure data governance practices and dealer data use adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • KPIs Monitoring: Monitor KPIs related to data governance, such as data quality metrics, compliance levels, and incident reports. Provide regular updates to management.
  • Governance Improvement: Recommend solutions to enhance our Dealer Data Governance posture.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • IT Processes: Experience working with IT processes and projects, understanding complex IT solutions, and strong technical skills.
  • Data Flow Diagrams: Ability to read and create complex data flow diagrams.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, and assertiveness.
  • Facilitation and Collaboration: Strong meeting facilitation skills and ability to influence teams towards collaboration and problem solving.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks within time constraints.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite, including Visio.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SQL Expertise: Proficiency in SQL.
  • Analytic Tools: Experience with analytic tools and databases such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle.
  • Data Catalog Tools: Experience with Watson Knowledge Catalog (WKC), Atlan, or similar data catalog tools.
