RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining the light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together As a Nurse Practitioner you will be responsible for assisting in performing history and physicals for the medical and surgical workup care of patients in the outpatient setting. Participates in all aspects of patient care as indicated.

This is a PT position working less than 20 hours each week. Day Shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(85%) Patient Care

  • Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
  • Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications and for MRI safety
  • Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
  • Utilizes competent IV start skills
  • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
  • Participates in an efficient work flow to assist keeping CT/MRI on schedule
  • Assures proper documentation in the EMR system

(10%) Administrative Duties

  • Completes required administrative duties
  • Maintains clean and stocked work environment
  • Maintains stock in drug box

(5%) Performs related work as assigned

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • NP license and certification, current and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
