Electrical Design Engineer – Hybrid location - Flexibility to travel to Norwich.
A leading Building Services Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a hybrid role, based primarily out of the Norwich office, with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel for meetings.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a respected consultancy working across various sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial, residential, aviation, and defence.
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Develop and implement electrical designs for a diverse range of projects.
⦁ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver electrical solutions that align with client requirements and comply with industry standards and regulations.
⦁ Work autonomously while providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
⦁ Encourage a collaborative working environment and promote effective communication and teamwork.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
⦁ Minimum of 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within UK Building Services, supported by relevant qualifications.
⦁ Preferably, membership in professional bodies such as CIBSE or IET.
⦁ Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and comprehensive knowledge of Building Services Engineering, including interdisciplinary design at all project stages.
⦁ Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
⦁ Proficiency in software tools, including Office 365, Amtech (Trimble), Dialux EVO, or Relux.
⦁ Competence in modern technical delivery methods, including the ability to design and review work produced by others.
⦁ Experience in a multidisciplinary environment with a track record of leading, motivating, and supervising junior engineers.
⦁ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability in negotiating, resource planning, team motivation, and management.
⦁ Commitment to promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
Desirable Skills:
⦁ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software packages.
