Job Description

Job Summary:

As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues across our roughly 600 users/computers. You will work with a team that's main responsibility is working on PC's and mobile devices and occasionally work on projects involving networks and systems. You'll work with Office 365 and other services and be a go to IT technician. This role will require one (1) day in the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Systems Administration
  • Active Directory, Shared folder management
  • Windows Server basic knowledge
Network Administration
  • LAN/WAN/DNS/VPN/VLAN
  • ISP maintenance
Services
  • Administration of Office 365
  • SharePoint administration
  • Domain management
  • Desktop/Phone Management Systems (MDM, etc)
Hardware/software
  • Laptop/Desktop/Mobile support
  • VOIP support
  • Standard equipment rollout
  • Standard software support
  • Printer support
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related position such as IT Helpdesk or Technician.
  • Appropriate IT Certifications are highly desirable (A+, Network +, Security +)
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your own priorities
  • Standard Operating Procedure and Documentation experience
  • Must be present in Glendale Heights office one day per week
  • Minimal travel, but sometimes required (5%)
  • Excellent professional oral, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 50% of day. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, ability to do whatever it takes; safely
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator role, plus a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Technical Specialist/Desktop Support Role
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent experience in the role.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage your own priorities
  • Must be willing to assist in the On-Call rotation (not your essential duty but willing to participate for support) (Weekly rotation, emergency support for weekend and off-hours)
  • Minimal travel, 1-2 times per year
  • Appropriate certifications such as A+, MCSA, MCSE, MCP, CCNA are not required, but are highly desirable
  • Excellent professional oral, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 50% of day. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
