Eight (8) Crude Truck Drivers needed for a Vernal, UT employer. *OBJECTIVE * A Crude Truck Driver performs a wide variety of tasks, including hauling crude from customers' locations in Eastern Utah to North Salt Lake refineries, and various other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS for this position include: Drives assigned commercial vehicle in accordance with established DOT and company safety guidelines. Follows established loading and unloading procedures, transports crude oil to assigned locations/disposals. Maintains a clean and safe working area, including vehicles, shop, and other work sites. Informs Shop Foreman or Dispatchers of needed vehicle repairs and conditions. Assists (as needed) with maintenance of fleet vehicles. Accurately completes assigned logs, work tickets, and other necessary work reports. Performs all other duties as required. Delivering to Wellington UT. also POSITION CHARACTERISTICS A. Fair Labor Standards Act Provision The position of Driver is a nonexempt position under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to the company's policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours and premium pay. B. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: A high school education or equivalent, plus three (3) year's experience. CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement. This position is subject to company controlled substance abuse and alcohol testing procedures. Driver must be registered with Clearinghouse. C. Essential Physical and Mental Demands Physical: Work is often performed in awkward or uncomfortable positions involving stooping, bending, reaching, and the handling of tools or materials of sufficient weight (up to 80 pounds) to cause additional physical stress. Mental: Work of position is generally varied and the employee has sufficient time to complete most tasks without a feeling or pressure. Working Conditions: Work is performed outside which can be unpleasant at times because of snow, wind, rain, noise, dust, or other conditions such as cold/hot temperatures and/or humidity. Competitive salary. Schedule will be arranged with employer. Preference given for tribal members and veterans.
