The Role and the Company

We are Heidelberg Materials, North America's leading supplier of construction materials. We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our Southwest Region Shared Services in Irving, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the month-end close process, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and process improvements. You will collaborate with various departments and work in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.

  • Participate in all aspects of the month-end close process
  • Reconcile US cash bank accounts and resolve outstanding items collaboratively
  • Prepare account analysis and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Analyze and review financial statements for multiple business units
  • Assist with annual audit requests
  • Collaborate on special projects for process improvements
  • Work closely with other Shared Services Center functions and regional finance departments
  • Identify process improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Preferred: SAP and Blackline experience
