Duties:
- Perform in-process or final inspection on materials, detail components, hardware, and assemblies to ensure product compliance to Customer and regulatory requirements by using a variety of measuring equipment.
- Sets up, operates, inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs and fixtures for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize inspection and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparator, ruler, meters, etc.) to verify products to specification.
- Capable of performing the various visual and dimensional Inspections on the various part types.
- Complete incoming inspection to ensure production is completing processes correctly as defined in the production work instructions.
- Identifying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma opportunities to support business goals.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience in different calibration tools, blueprints (shop sketches)
- Good knowledge of aerospace manufacturing practices, procedures, inspection methodologies, and techniques in an AS9100 QMS environment. Certify visual acuity to standard, per regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Engine Repair/ Inspection experience (LM2500, +, G4) preferred.
- Six Sigma experience preferred.
