Account Executive, Private Client Group

The Private Client Group, Account Executive works closely with other members of the team to deliver an outstanding customer service experience to our high-net-worth ("HNW") customer base. In addition to working with our clients, and their advisors, on day-to-day service needs, the Private Client Group, Account Executive is responsible for coordinating the renewal process, organizing client review meetings and negotiating renewals with our carrier partners. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within an established (and growing) practice group. This role is based in New Haven, CT in a new office space with beautiful views, modern furnishings, covered parking, a lobby café, food trucks and easy access to highways and public transportation. What You'll Do- Perform customer service tasks: process policy changes, answer billing and general insurance coverage inquires
- Coordinate the renewal process with other team members including submission compilation, delivering schedules of insurance, scheduling renewal meetings and marketing negotiation with carriers.
- Work with management to continually improve our customer service offering through unique value added services
- Provide proactive risk management advice to current clients
- Identify and close potential cross-sell opportunities
- Analyze exposures, obtain underwriting information and provide appropriate insurance coverages for new and renewal clients
- Respond in a timely manner to client, underwriter and internal department requests
- Prepare comprehensive submissions for marketing
- Know when to escalate issues and ask for assistance
- Coordinate customer service with the Client Executive (producer)
- Prepare accurate policy summaries and claim reports as needed
- Work to achieve best outcomes for both the client and agency
- Document all activity carefully
- Understand the potential for errors or omissions and seeks guidance when necessary
- Continue professional development

- Technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products
- Aptitude to understand and analyze personal lines of coverages, forms and policies
- Intermediate user of MS Office products, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel
- Exposure to and/or understanding of the unique needs of private/HNW clientele
- 3+ years of experience handling middle market or HNW insureds
- Experience with HNW insurance carriers preferred
- Hands-on knowledge with Applied Epic, preferred
- Licensed P&C Producer preferred
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to use technology to manage workflows and client communications
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Sincere interest in solving problems and developing lasting solutions
- Flexible when priorities and deadlines shift, and can juggle multiple assignments
- Adapts to change and manages stressful situations professionally
- Likes to work in and contribute to culture of teamwork and cooperation
