JOB DESCRIPTION

SUPERVISOR: Site Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provides principle administrative support for courseware development to the Site Manager. Works independently, receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance. Performs varied administrative duties requiring a knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Vocational or other post-high school training.

Training and Experience: One (1) year experience working with word processing software and applying software to functions to prepare documents.

General Skills: Must possess strong proof reading and editing skills.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

Security Clearance: Must currently possess a "Secret" level security clearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The word processor uses knowledge of varied and advanced functions of MS PowerPoint and MS Word to perform such typical duties as: formatting, reformatting written, or electronic drafts
  • Corrects document function codes, adjusting spacing and formatting, and standardizing headings, margins, and indentations.
  • Type text from written copy, edit electronic media and reformat scanned text using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point for Windows.
  • Corrects copy and question originator of document concerning missing information, improper formatting, or discrepancies in instructions.
  • Enters corrections and revisions, proofreads material for style, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Perform courseware production and related support functions when required.
  • Maintains written correspondence and file management of all records pertaining to courseware development.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
