Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team Our client is celebrating over 75 years of manufacturing success within the metal fabrication and tube bending space and show no signs of slowing down.

The quality engineer's main roles will be to evaluate, correct, and develop system improvements to prevent Customer concerns related to manufacturing defects. Another large part of their role will be documenting/verifying all processing and verification methods used are sufficient to meet customer design requirements (L3 PPAP).

Qualified candidates must have quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment and have experience creating PPAP's.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Acts as SME \ Lead QE for select customer group in regards to:
- Level 3 PPAP submissions
- Corrective action investigation \ resolution using data and statistical studies
- Reviews \ dispositions customer returns
- Development of inspection and work instructions
- Assists production team with processing \ rework methods
- Coordination and performance of internal process \ product audits

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience \ knowledge in L3 PPAPs and 8D methodologies
- ASQ Certification CQE preferred
- 2 - 5 yrs in a manufacturing environment preferred with knowledge of various manufacturing processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications
