RECOVERY SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL II

The Recovery Support Professional II will have the primary responsibility of supporting clients in their residential treatment in a therapeutic capacity. This includes facilitating psychoeducational groups, documenting of meetings and progress on recovery goals, and coordinating basic needs.

Full-time / Non-Exempt

Pay range begins at $20.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in human services field required. Previous experience working with persons who have a mental illness or behaviors that interfere with their daily functions preferred. Previous experience with an electronic health record preferred. Must have organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. 

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Valid Driver’s license required with ability to transport others using company vehicles.

AGENCY OVERVIEW

For over 40 years, the McCall Behavioral Health Network has been serving the residents of Connecticut on a beautiful historic campus in Litchfield County with offices in Torrington, Waterbury, and Danbury, CT. We are a private, non-profit, CARF accredited DMHAS-monitored and DPH-licensed mental health and substance-use disorder treatment provider whose primary mission is to provide integrated residential and outpatient services to those who suffer from these disorders—so they might lead healthier and more productive lives. We offer exceptional integrated, comprehensive behavioral health treatment as well as prevention and outreach for holistic health and wellness. Our agency's most valued resource is our staff, as everyday they give our clients hope that recovery is possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates psycho-educational groups in the program.
  • Maintains appropriate clinical records and reports according to established timelines.
  • Assists in the development of recovery plans and connects clients to needed resources including entitlements and other supports necessary for recovery including Community Supports.
  • Identifies clients who are experiencing barriers to accessing treatment and addresses said needs through facilitating securement of entitlements and resources.
