Description

General Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall accounting functions for multiple properties to include:

• Driving excellence for timely and accurate accounting.

• Ability and knowledge to prepare & analyze monthly profit & loss statements.

• Prepare journal entries, detailed reports, reconciliations and perform other accounting functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and deadlines.

• Assist with projects as required by Corporate Controller.

Primary Functions:

Construction Accounting Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.

• Track all Construction cost against budget and keep up to date

• Report any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.

• Maintain electronic billing folders for all projects with the appropriate documents, including monthly waivers and invoices.

• Prepare and organize various reports, financial forms, and analyses.

• Process development & construction invoices including consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and supplier bills.

• Review the process for proper coding of construction invoices/payment applications and lien releases for contractors, subcontractors, and vendor invoices.

• Perform month end close process for development & construction books preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

Corporate Accounting Responsibilities:

• Meet all processing and reporting deadlines.

• Resolve account payable issues or queries as requested.

• Complete monthly state and local tax filings for each property in a timely manner.

• Be knowledgeable of all SOPs for the development & construction accounting area.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Corporate Controller which includes but is not limited to:

o Balance sheet reconciliations

o Bank reconciliations

o Payroll

o Audits

Requirements

Requirements: College or higher-level education

Minimum 4+ years of general accounting experience, including 2+ year's experience in Construction accounting. Hotel accounting, is a plus.

Must have Microsoft Office experience with excellent Excel skills

QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required.

Must have excellent communication & organization skills

Must be able to work independently and make sound business decisions

Must be willing and able to sign Aatmos' non-disclosure and non-compete agreements
