We are looking for a Data Engineer who develops with SQL and has experience working with SSIS. You will have the chance to do database development along with design/flow-chart, testing, debugging, documentation, etc. Responsible for administering and maintaining SQL databases. Also responsible for database development efforts across all teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain and administer new database installations, tune existing database queries and manage existing databases to maintain performance levels.
  • Support IS Management by providing technical leadership and mentoring according to direction of supervisor.
  • Work with a team of I.S. personnel including Business Analysts, QA Analysts, Architects, and Management to determine specific data requirements.
  • Perform detailed program design, flow-charting, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Protect the information assets of the company, including intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and protected health information, against unauthorized alteration and/or disclosure by appropriately handling and transmitting information.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document program and technical procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Experience (Must meet at least two of the following criteria):
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 6 years of working experience in I.S. or related field
  • Possess five or more approved certifications within job area.
  • Excellent computer skills, analytical/problem-solving skills, and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
  • Must have tact and diplomacy in maintaining cooperative relationships
  • Detailed oriented and possess a desire for quality
