Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: ICU Resource Team

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day/Night rotate, 8 and 12-hour shifts, occasional 4-hour shifts

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a large hospital (over 200 beds) with level 1 trauma designation

License: ND or compact state RN License

Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS

Must-Have:
- Experience in titrating vasopressor drips
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system

Job Description:
- Manage care for 1-3 critically ill patients
- Work with varying patient populations including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients
- Administer and manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips
- Assist with bedside procedures such as rapid sequence intubation (RSI), extraventricular drain placement (EVD), tracheostomy, and line placement
- Utilize equipment including Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG Feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems, and Impella
- Floating capabilities across critical care departments with occasional duties in medical-surgical units
- Call in prior to each shift to confirm unit assignment
- Adhere to a dress code of navy scrubs
- Undergo 32 hours of orientation: hospital (8 hours), ICU unit (8 hours), Intermediate ICU (4 hours), and another ICU (12 hours)
- Work every other weekend and holiday
- Cannot reside within 60 miles of the facility
