Product Specialist

Position Summary:

The main function of a product specialist is to be the subject matter expert on a product through its development. The typical product specialist will provide technical advice to customers concerning their product.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the value of a product technology to advance customers' objectives.
  • Provides insight and thought leadership to customers concerning the applicability of highly complex products.
  • Analyzes and applies industry, competition, and market knowledge to present the positive value of our solutions.
  • Recommends product and service configurations to assist with any system design and integration necessary.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
  • Provide Timely Proactive Pre-Sales Technical Support to Sales Teams and North America Business Development Managers.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years experience required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Technical background and interest in IT, IP networks, Digital Signage and/or Display industry
  • Frequent domestic travel is required.
  • Candidate must be willing to work beyond normal schedule in conjunction with client support and deployments in North America.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Event/Trade Show/Training Support
  • Become a technical resource with Digital Display Solutions, as well as other Digital Signage solutions to North American sales teams and partners.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for the North American sales subsidiaries, system integrators, and/or end customers with Solutions.
  • Support client subsidiaries and System Integrators with model selections, specifications, and product questions.
  • Support System Integrators and End Customers with general setup and use case of software and service solutions which include VXT, Lynk Cloud, and Tizen platform (SSSP)
  • Provide tier 1 pre-sales technical support related to LCD Signage, LED, Monitors, Hospitality TV, Solutions, and Pro Services in North America.
  • Liaise with key industry partners in the Digital Signage marketplace and provide proactive market intelligence to PMs and SMEs.
  • Attend and support client and/or partner events.
