System One is hiring for a Lead Auditor, QA Engineer reports to the Senior Director, Nuclear Quality and Continuous Improvement. Candidate will have QA experience in NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated environment. Ideal candidate will have current NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor (ATL) and have experience with evaluation and qualification of NQA-1 Suppliers and commercial supply chain. Experience with industry codes, standards and guides such as ASME, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC and IEEE are strongly desired. Responsibilities · Plan and perform Supplier and Internal Audits as a Lead Auditor. · Perform general assessment and critique of nuclear quality programs and assessments · Review customer and regulatory contracts and develop baseline requirements matrix/documents. · Interface with customer and supplier QA representatives and provide solutions to technical and complex compliance issues. · Work with Supply Chain management to resolve technical and quality deficiencies with Suppliers quality oversight of critical procurements to meet project millstones and schedules · Review internal and external engineering documents including design drawings, specifications, test plans/procedures, and other technical documents. · Evaluate and qualify (audit/CGD) suppliers and partners. · Plan and perform commercial grade surveys of commercial suppliers. · Support Engineering with the development and implementation of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) plans. · Coordinate and host Customer and Regulator audits, surveillances, and visits. · Review and revise QA processes and procedures. · Review quality affecting procedures (engineering, procurement, document control, records, testing, etc.) to ensure program compliance. · Review procurement specifications, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, task orders and agreements to ensure flow-down of applicable quality assurance requirements. · Review design drawings, specifications, test plans/procedures, and other technical documents for quality assurance requirements using a graded approach to quality when applicable. Qualifications · Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field. · 15+ years’ experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Quality Assurance function preferred or in a regulated environment such as, EPA, aerospace, etc. · Current certification as NQA-1 Lead Auditor or other industry recognized certification. · Electrical and/or I&C experience and qualifications are highly desired.
