GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The System Tester - Is primarily responsible for testing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems and parts as they relate to the LENS and Aerosol Jet machines. Systems Test Technician uses manufacturing and engineering processes, supported materials, and various tools with emphasis on quality control, workability, and standardization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Keep test lab clean and organized.
  • Keep supply cabinets supplied with test equipment.
  • Keep test cabinet organized and update test jigs and equipment.
  • Keep test bench working properly.
  • Test Aerosol Jet and Lens systems
  • Mechanical assembly Aerosol Jet and Lens systems
  • Coordinate with Manager and Supervisor with scheduling upcoming systems and prebuilds for test.
  • Be able to troubleshoot systems both electrical, mechanical, and SW.
  • Work overtime as needed to keep on-time schedules.
  • Maintain an attitude that supports and prioritizes the needs of the company first.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education :
  • Associates degree or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Mechanical assembly experience required.
  • Proficient with hand tools.
Preferred Experience:
  • >2 years relevant experience working in an additive manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturability, Six Sigma, etc.
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes.
  • Able to learn and understand how our systems function.
  • Able to read and understand electrical schematics and Plumbing diagrams.
  • Able to follow written step by step instructions.
  • Computer skills a must
  • Proficient with all common hand tools including wrenches, drills, taps, calipers, levels, and gauges.
  • Familiar with plumbing of gas and water tubing and fittings.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Ability to work well as a cross-functional team member.
  • Patience to recognize that there is a significant learning curve.
  • Ability to use multimeter and troubleshoot electrical issues.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Will work in a manufacturing, lab, and warehouse location.
  • PPE must be worn at all times in lab and designated areas.
  • Lab/warehouse environment contains metal powders, chemicals, etc.
  • Schedule driven and fast paced at times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Warehouse conditions as applicable.
  • PPE, Safety glasses, Safety shoes, Respirator
