Perioperative Explore Program Nurse

SUMMARY:

Start your nursing career in an education-focused environment at Rochester Regional Health. As a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) in the Perioperative Explore Program, you will receive hands-on training in pre-operative, operative, and recovery units. This immersive program includes working alongside experienced nurse preceptors, participating in educational meetings, and simulations. Upon completion, you will transition to a full-time operating room position.

STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENTS: Perioperative Services - Pre-Operative Unit, Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit

SCHEDULE: Primarily Day/Evening, Monday-Friday; Nights, Weekends & Holidays, & on-call responsibilities per unit requirements. All interested candidates must live within a 30-minute drive to Rochester General Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Care & Service: Promote and restore patients' health
  • Planning & Communication: Develop and document individualized care plans
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Demonstrate proficient EHR use
  • Compliance: Adhere to department and system protocols

EDUCATION: AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support, RN - Registered Nurse

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work

PAY RANGE: $32.33 - $45.00
