NCM just purchased Jira. They are going to use it as their main workflow tool within the IT organization. There are very few people at NCM with experience using Jira. They need an admin to help them setup the basics/fundamentals and possibly do some light customization within the tool.
This person needs to be a hybrid BA/Jira admin with the personality traits of a BA and the technical experience of a Jira system admin.
Responsibilities
• Support JIRA Software, JIRA Service Desk, Confluence administration, including creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports configurations
• Serve as Internal SME for Jira, JSD and Confluence
• Meet with stakeholders to identify JIRA Project and Confluence needs and implement them as appropriate
• Architect and maintain permissions across multiple companies and instances of Atlassian's products.
• Provide User Management and grant user permissions in accordance with role given by the company
• Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation
• Install, manage and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions
• Support and resolve issues as they arise with JIRA Projects and Confluence
• Experience building collaboration spaces in Confluence. Execute assigned system validation test cases to maintain a validated system state for JIRA/Confluence.
• Perform requirements gathering, business process workflows, and process improvement for JIRA/Confluence workflows and processes in place, identifying where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
• Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc.
• Develop and compile training materials based on the areas needs
• Create, maintain, and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilities
• Required experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Desk Cloud, Confluence Cloud
• Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite
• Create complex JIRA workflows, project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
• Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community
• Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams
• Troubleshoot issues, communicate with process owners, and continue to improve support processes
• Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA
• Able to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports

• Working with Agile projects and processes with multiple cross-functional teams
Qualifications
• 5+ years of Jira Software, Jira Service Desk and Confluence software administration experience
• 5+ Years of experience with customization of for tools like JIRA, Jira Service Desk, Atlassian Access and Confluence, creating custom workflows, fields, conditions, validators, post-transitions, and other project components in Jira
• 3+ years developing custom solutions using the Atlassian product suite
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders and software development personnel
• Accustomed to operating using Agile, Lean and SAFe principles
• Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change
