License: Michigan LARA
Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
Must-Have:
- Cannot accept candidates living within 50 miles of the facility
Job Description:
- Function primarily in direct patient care with demonstrated competent clinical practice.
- Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients.
- Act independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations in the absence of a physician.
- Provide care for acutely ill as well as non-acute patients.
- Perform multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills.
- Assist physicians with their procedures.
- Provide physical and psychological comfort to the patient, their family, and visitors.
- Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to the patient and family.
- Answer ambulance radios and independently give appropriate orders for pre-hospital care.
- Work with sophisticated equipment and handle various types of patients in a frequently stressful environment.
- Work every other weekend.
