Hiring Range: $26.66/hr-$32.00/hr. The maximum pay for this position is $37.33/hr.

The CCCAP Program Support Specialist is responsible for supporting child care providers who are participating in Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP), by developing and maintaining relationships with the providers, facilitating their enrollment in the program, assisting them to understand and navigate CCCAP, and accurately maintaining the provider’s electronic records in the state tracking system. This role directly contributes to the goals of the Economic Services Division within Eagle County's Department of Human Services. This position also provides administrative support for Eagle County’s Early Childhood Strategic Goals.

Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm. This job may require you to travel to other locations within the County such as, Eagle, Avon, El Jebel. (The position is primarily based out of Eagle (home office)).

Economic Services (a division within the Department of Human Services) is responsible for administering a range of critical public assistance programs including Cash, Child Care, Emergency, Energy, Food and Medical Assistance, as well as connecting customers to other vital resources and supports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping child care providers enroll in CCCAP and understand program rules.
  • Communicating with providers through various channels and resolving discrepancies in payments.
  • Providing training on the attendance system and other CCCAP related topics.
  • Managing provider data and functions within a software system (CHATS).
  • Analyzing child care rates and establishing payment schedules.
  • Responding to inquiries and maintaining confidentiality of provider information.
  • Ensuring program accountability through reports and audits.
  • Staying updated on CCCAP regulations and serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Traveling within Eagle County to support providers.
  • Performing general administrative tasks and participating in department projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Certificate in office management or Associates degree in business or related field preferred
  • Two years administrative or similar work experience required
  • More than two years administrative or similar work experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program preferred
  • Knowledge of the Child Care Automated Tracking System (CHATS) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
  • Strong computer and data management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
