Junior Staff Accountant

Vaco is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join a finance team with a primary focus on accounts payable responsibilities. The Junior Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience or internship in an accounting or finance role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices is a plus.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
