Overview

Provides support pertaining to entering and validating policy data and insurance-related documents into applicable computer systems. May perform duties related to office technology and/or work of the department. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

  • Timely and efficient entry of insurance policies and other transactions into applicable computer systems.
  • Electronic filing of insurance-related documents into applicable computer system.
  • Utilize PC and applicable operating systems to enter and verify data necessary to complete transactions. Search, update, assign, interpret, select and/or code items to be entered or extracted from a database.
  • Implements all processes and procedure changes set forth by the department manager to ensure production standards are met.
  • Contributes to team projects and may be assigned individual/special projects.
  • May assist in identifying and communicating system issues impacting production. May also participate in user acceptance testing for system enhancements/modifications.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as scanning, answering phones, assisting in other support functions or related departments.
Qualifications

Knowledge and Requirements
  • Introduction to insurance or knowledge/experience in the insurance industry is preferred. Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written). Excellent attention to detail. Works well in a team environment. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 3+ years of filing, data entry, word processing or typing.
  • One or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
Pay Range

USD $37,000.00 - USD $54,000.00 /Yr.
