Scheduled performance reviews Referral program Responsibilities: *Serves as the site expert medical authority pertaining to medical decisions which must be made. *Consults with the national medical consultant physician, but is expected to make decisions based upon a combination of written directives, legal requirements, precedent, CDC guidelines and previous experience. *Regularly in contact with physicians who are providing non-occupational and occupational medical care and rehabilitation for employees. *Assist managers/workers with evaluation of RETURN TO WORK criteria and decisions. *Will field calls relating to COVID and return to work. *Provides employees access to medical and health services with the objective of providing for optimal safe, efficient, and productive operations and optimal employee relations. *Create medical records including: return to work notes. Requirements: *Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Program *State License is required *3-5 years of related experience in Occupational Health Nursing, medical assessment, emergency medical care, clinic work, and/or public health nursing. *Licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina. *Certification via the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing COHN-S OR COHN is preferred *Occupational health experience a plus *Computer skill: electronic medical records entry *Excel spreadsheet (simple entry) *Phone skills *Overall understanding of occupational health.
