Retail Assistant Manager

Overview: As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will leverage your customer service and leadership skills to deliver a premium experience for our customers. Collaborating with the Store Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills in real-time, coach our Customer Service Representatives, and play a crucial role in driving team performance. Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the loan or pawn process by educating customers and making tailored recommendations based on their financial needs.
- Assist in managing customer accounts by processing payments and tracking appointments effectively.
- Achieve Company performance standards through business partnerships, obtaining referrals, and hosting in-store and community events.
- Build and nurture customer relationships to generate new business, enhance store profitability, and foster brand loyalty.
- Offer support, coaching, and development to Customer Service Representatives to maximize team potential.
- Maintain accurate customer information in the Point of Sale system.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and local, state, and federal regulations in the workplace.
- Maintain security protocols and perform proper opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer and bank deposit management.
- Oversee the store's internal and external appearance, coordinating basic facility needs and maintenance services.
- Utilize your personal vehicle for completing bank deposits and other Company tasks during the workday.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting individual and team performance goals.
- Communicate and interact with customers and Team Members at all levels using strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, which includes limited Saturday hours (at least 40 hours per week).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 months supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience.
- At least one year of experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using phone systems, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and other software.
- Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
- Background check required (subject to applicable law).
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls like a keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, and may be required in certain locations.
