The Basics

Tanium is expanding and is searching for a dynamic Corp Systems Architect that will tackle building complex solutions and detailed supporting documentation for our most critical technology and business processes. The Corporate Systems Architect will function as a domain-level technical expert and advisor to our business stakeholders, IT leadership, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architecture function. Responsibilities will include technical consulting, creation and maintenance of architecture documents (application, technology, and data layer), hands-on development and code review for NetSuite, involvement in all solution design meetings across the Corp Systems domain. Furthermore, The Corporate Systems Architect will help promote a culture of high availability and efficacy across the domain by maximizing investments by identifying and documenting reusable building blocks to support faster analysis - creating diagrams, data models, dependency graphs, etc.

The right candidate will have a deep understanding of Financial, Human Resources, Procurement, and GTM business processes and supporting technology. Being able to confidently interface and present appropriately abstracted data to all levels of an enterprise organization is paramount to the overall success of this role. Architect level knowledge with significant hands-on experience of NetSuite is a must. Strong foundational knowledge in SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce CPQ, Coupa, and Workato or other iPaaS solutions highly desirable. The Corporate Systems Architect will report to the Director, Corporate Systems and work closely with all areas of our G&A functions.

What you'll do
  • Leveraging business systems to optimize standard business and accounting processes (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger)
  • Planning and development of new NetSuite capabilities/enhancements/features
  • Some systems administration tasks as needed
  • Ensure quality of development work and solutions being deployed
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture and Information Security functions to ensure proposed solutions align with security and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Work closely with other domain Architects in parallel domains to ensure cross-functional dependencies are evaluated, understood, and documented
  • Create and present current, transition, and future state architectural diagrams to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to and enhance the Corporate Systems toolkit of templatized process frameworks and technology ecosystem model
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation across the domain, including tech, application, and data layer diagrams and technical specification documents
  • Continual research, learning, and evaluation of new tools, capabilities, and features that may offer additional value to Tanium
  • Some light project management
We're looking for someone with
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • 8+ years of experience in related field
    • 8+ years of experience with NetSuite
    • Understanding of SOX and ITGC compliance
    • General understanding of People functions including Performance, Total Compensation, Workforce Planning, Employee Life Cycle
    • Basic understanding and practical application of UML
    • Exceptional ability to learn new tools/technology through the lens of business process best practices
    • Expertise in executing the strategy, planning, development, and deployment of technical solutions across GTM/Finance/Procurement/HR domains
    • Expertise in interpreting business need to technical work across critical business process (e.g. Procure to Pay, Quote to Cash, Performance Management, Compensation, Payroll, etc.) with an emphasis on Finance and People
    • Architect level knowledge of NetSuite + Suitescript expertise
    • Deep technical knowledge in two or more common G&A tools (Avalara, Concur, Coupa, Adaptive Insights, Workday, SuccessFactors, Salesforce, etc.)
    • Experience with integrations (NetSuite native, SAP Integration Center or middleware)
    • Exceptional systematic troubleshooting skills
    • Exceptional documentation skills with an emphasis on abstracting data to suite the needs of the stakeholder
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong business acumen
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Understanding of common SDLC frameworks
    • Familiarity with JavaScript, or other common coding languages
    • Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition method
    • Exposure to common Architecture frameworks
    • People, GTM, Procurement, or Finance technology consultation experiences an Architect, Lead Developer, or similar
    • Experience with Kanban PM methodology
    • Experience with Jira
    • Experience with Xactly a huge plus

What you'll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 to $325,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
