Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems.
  • This role involves close collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.
  • Other responsibilities to anticipate may include:
    • Design, implement, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
    • Perform system administration
    • Working with DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines
    • Working with Jenkins, Python, Groovy, Gradle
    • Working with previously written code and make modifications as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Four (4) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux environment and using unit testing tools (e.g., JUnit)
  • Familiarity with Git and Atlassian Tool suite
  • Linux System Administration and Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting containerized workload using Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Deploying services using CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes and Ansible
  • Experience with Nexus or similar artifact repository in air gapped environments
