Software Engineer

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Software Engineer to join Global Surveillance Division supporting the team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

The responsibilities of this role include deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving systems and software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, a can-do approach towards environment automation, and the ability to work in an agile development process. Full lifecycle software design, implementation, and unit testing are also integral components of this position.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 or more years of experience in software engineering, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 or more years of experience in software engineering. Experience with C/C++ or other OOP languages, development experience in a Linux and Windows environment, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance are also required.

The salary for this position ranges from $75,300 to $112,900. Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date, but may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
