Emergency Room RN - Sign On Bonus

  • $8,000 sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement available
  • Earn up to $8.00 additional compensation depending on nursing education and national certifications
  • 17% weekday nights, 26% weekend nights, or 15% weekend day shift differentials
  • Direct nursing care for assigned patients including Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups
  • Participate in education programs, in-services, meetings and workshops to enhance professional growth and development
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with Hospitals standards
  • Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put patients at undue risk
  • Assist with administering medication, including IV medication, and special tests and procedures
  • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
  • Answer telephones and triage calls as per departmental policy
  • Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner
  • Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don't understand or may "not seem right"

Qualifications:

  • Program Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing Program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is a plus
  • RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
  • Basic Arrhythmia Cert w/in 1 year
  • PALS w/in 6 months of position
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification w/in 6 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) w/in 6 months of hire

Note that Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people is a physical demand requirement that is in excess of those for Medium Work.

Work environment has Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE.
