A few key responsibilities include:

  • Designing therapeutic programs tailored to resident interests and abilities.
  • Organizing and scheduling therapeutic activities for both individual and group participation.
  • Creating engaging activities both within and outside the community to elevate resident well-being.
  • Motivating residents to partake in daily planned activities, while maintaining and updating care plans and programming.
  • Ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction through quality hospitality services.
  • Actively participating in resident care conference meetings.
  • Providing accurate electronic documentation for assessments, care plans, progress notes, safety concerns, and more.
  • Recruiting, orienting, and guiding a volunteer team to enhance activity programming.
  • Leading both individual and group programs while documenting participation and achievements.
  • Coordinating resident transportation to recreational activities.
  • Managing the promotion and distribution of activity programming brochures and calendars.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience.
  • State regulation certifications required. Industry certifications such as NCCAP or CTRS are preferred.
